In a painting that shows a man and a woman holding each other, Muna AlSafi, represents a vivid image of the relationship between the South and North of our dearest, Yemen.
Muna believes that the relationship between Southerns and Northerns are similar to that of man and woman. They complete each other. And the existence of one is essential for that of the other.
She demonstrates that the unity between the two doesn’t follow any geographical or political standards, it is more of a spiritual unity that will stand the test of time.
Yemenis – Southerns and Northerns – stand as one entity. For without the calmness of the Southern coastlines and the ferocity of the Northern mountains, this country will cease to exist.
